But before giving you a review, let me show you I used it.

I was Head of Growth at Userpilot, and I wanted more folks to respond to our newsletter (because that’s the key metric for us). We tripled our newsletter engagement with it, and they even made a case study on us.

Sendspark Review – Main Features

There are some features every video outreach platform must-have. Fancy bells and whistles fall flat if the service fails to fulfill its primary function. The good news is that Sendspark has all the essentials you can expect from such a platform and more.

  • Screen Recording: Sendspark allows users to record their device’s screen as videos.
  • Video upload: You can upload videos that were created outside of the platform and use them within the application.
  • Live Video Streaming: Sendspark allows users to attach live stream video to emails
  • Unlimited Video Storage: There is no limit to how big the attached video can be. So there is a more fantastic room for creativity.
  • Add CTA: Sendspark allows users to add a clear Call to Action in their videos.
  • No Installation: Sendspark is entirely cloud-based. So there is no offline installation required. As a result, you can use it on any operating system.
  • High Definition (HD) Video Recording: As long as your web camera can support HD videos, you can directly record 720p HD videos for your emails.
  • Cloud Backup: Since it is a cloud-based platform, your work is always automatically saved. So, you don’t have to worry if you lose connection midway. Your job is always backed up.
  • Video Player Customization: You can customize the video player used to play the video within the email.

Sendspark Review

Sendspark is one of the best tools for individuals or companies using email for marketing. Most people receive dozens of emails every day. Going through so much text can be quite a tedious task.

Sendspark allows your emails to stand out from the crowd. Having a video embedded in the email lets you humanize your brand. People are more likely to notice your emails, and in turn, purchase your product or service.

Sendspark allows you to provide a clear CTA, which makes it easy to get your message across. What makes it stand out for me is its simple UI.

It makes the entire UX seamless and intuitive. Anyone can customize their video with minimal technical know-how.

Moreover, you can download their mobile app to use Sendspark on the go. There is also the option of using the Chrome extension. The extension allows you to access the Sendspark features from your browser quickly.

Sendspark focuses on three user cases – sales, marketing, and customer satisfaction. The website contains easy-to-understand instructions on how you can use different features for each of these cases.

A very cool feature of Sendspark is the ability to request videos from clients. You can send a link to your clients that will let them record a testimonial video for you. Then, you can use that video however you want. It’s a convenient feature that adds another layer of human touch to your brand.

The best part of Sendspark has to be its compatibility with other software. You can send a video message on almost all of the popular platforms. These include Slack, Outlook, HubSpot, Gmail, and many more.

  • Simple User Interface: The user interface is easy to understand and free of clutter. Anyone can get used to it in no time.

  • Humanizes your Brand: Embedding a video to your emails gives your brand a human touch. Brands that are more “human” tend to attract more customers and have greater engagement.

  • Compatibility: There is a mobile app and a Chrome extension for Sendspark. So you can work from your mobile and any operating system. You can also send video messages using popular applications like Slack, Outlook, and Gmail.

Sendspark Review – Things That Could Be Improved by Sendspark

While I love using Sendspark, there are a few areas I feel it underperforms. Here are some things I think Sendspark could improve on.

  • Buffering for Long Videos: A great feature Sendspark has its unlimited video duration. But it falls short because of the buffer time for longer videos.
  • Limited Use Cases: While the application is rather versatile, it should come with more use cases. That way, people would be able to take full advantage of its features.
  • Pricing: Sendspark is sold as a per-user license. So, it can be a bit expensive for smaller companies. While there is a free version, it is not practical for professional use.

Sendspark Review – Things I Wish Sendspark Had

Sendspark is excellent, but it is far from perfect. If they can add these features to their list, they can become the de facto choice for video outreach platforms.

  • 4K Support: Having support for 4K videos can make your videos feel more premium. Adding 4K support would significantly improve the user experience of the forum.
  • Advanced Video Editing: Sendspark’s customization options are easy to understand and are very intuitive. But having an advanced editing option or a Pro Mode would increase the possibilities significantly.
  • Offline Drafts: The platform is fully cloud-based. So, you can only work when you are online. Having an offline draft system would allow you to work offline as well.
  • Lower Buffer Time: If the developers can reduce the buffer time for lengthy videos, the unlimited video duration can become a more practical feature.
  • Entry-Level Deal: Having an entry-level package will make the platform more accessible to smaller companies. This deal would be great for the users and the company, as they would be able to reach a wider audience.

Final Thoughts

Sendspark is a brilliant application. It helps you stand out in a rather dull advertisement medium. Not only does it offer a unique feature, but it also makes the entire process very easy and intuitive.

However, Sendspark is not perfect. It has its fair share of shortcomings.

But I’d say it is clear as daylight that its upsides far outweigh the downsides. While it may not be for everyone, it is an investment worth making if you can afford a paid service for video emails.
